For got to mention breakout board for db25 is tx 14175
I installed the Mach 3 demo because the disc they sent had an internal error b109-13. After watching the Mach 3 setup tutorials I finally got the stepper motors running by assigning them to parellel port pins. The vfd blinks 400.00 and has the stop indicator lit and will not run even in manual. If I unplug the parallel port I can make the spindle work with the potentiometer on the front in manual. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

If your controller has a TX14175 breakout board that I reverse engineered to answer another post
Mach 3 has to send the PWM signal to printer port pin1 to control the spindle speed
and printer port pin has to be at logic 0 (0V) to switch on the relay that switches the spindle VFD to forward
the limited notes I have for a PRT-E1500W control box
indicate for manual control of the spindle
the manual/PC switch has to be in manual and
on the VFD boards 11 way terminal block "COM" and "FWD" connected together
(this is normally done by the relay on the TX14175 breakout board)
note - both diagrams need checking as some of the info is traced from photos taken of the internet

PS
one danger I have noticed with these Chinese control boxes is
they have used a 4 pin chassis mounted plug on the back of the control box as the 3 phase output to the 220V spindle motor !!!!
and the same 4 pin plugs as the stepper driver outputs to the stepper motors !!!!
