Hi people. Been playing with CNC's for a while now and recently upgraded to a Chinese machine coming from a Shopbot. Been cutting a lot of stuff for about 1 year now with no problems. Well this last week I have been trying to do a rather large 3D file about the size of a door and have been having problems with the Z not staying in contact with the material. In this case Mahogany. It seems to be raising about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch across the run of the file. About 30". The model itself is 72x 30". and 1.5" deep. It was toolpathed in Aspire from a grayscale and am running Mach 3. The Aspire simulation looks flawless. I've done this file before with my Shopbot with no issues. I can rule out material hold down, Collet slipping and loose belt on the z which is ball screw. don't beleive I'm loosing steps either because I've ran it several times and ti seem to be consistent. Just don't know where to go from here. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.
