Default Help with z axis height sensor

Hi - I recently bought a 6040 from China. The Z axis tool height sensor reads on the Y axis as a limit switch - could this be a jumper configuration or a software problem or is it a hardware fault? The board I have is JP-3163B v3.9. Software is a CNC USB....a clone of Planet CNC software?

    any ideas?

    Hi,

Did you figure out how to fix this? I have the same problem on the machine that used to be my father's.

    Regards,

    Jasper

YES! - it was a software setting in the program - I downloaded a new version from er, somewhere...Version SW: 2.10.1208.601 - then under settings find the Limit tab - the top item is Single Input - check this option - click ok and your Z should indicate when you touch the tool height probe to it's base.

What version do you have? And, does it have the Single input option?

    Sorry missed the notification.

I have the same version as you.
I was playing with the settings and now instead of the Y Axis turns magenta the A Axis is.

No idea what I did, still not able to set it to the X Axis
