Troubleshooting stepper controls on a small router table
Just bought a 3020T small table top router for small personal projects
effective bed size is 6 inches in X.....15 inches in Y
Using Mach 3 software to control the router
In my test runs if I use a pattern of 3 inch Y and 6 inch X this machine works great
If my Y axis travel exceeds 4 inches then I lose control of the X-Axis and it literally becomes stupid
Has anyone else had this trouble and if so I could use some advice on how you fixed the problem
Re: Troubleshooting stepper controls on a small router table
"Becomes stupid" does not help here. A more accurate description might help.
In any event you could have a mechanical binding problem if the X-Axis works fin in another location. There are other possibilities including parameters set wrong for this specific machine. This could mean excessive acceleration or a rapid speed that isn't achievable.
