    Default NCstudio Spindle Speed

I am using NCstudio version 5.5.60 and cannot find a way to get the software to slow the spindle to less than 6000rpm. I can set a spindle speed of (say) 500rpm in a Gcode file and the NCstudio screen will display this when the file is run. I can also set a speed of 500rpm manually in the input box on the NCstudio screen and the software will accept it. In both cases the actual spindle speed is always 6000rpm. I cannot find anywhere in NCstudio to set a minimum spindle speed (there is a setting for maximum). I have searche dthe manual that I have and as many on-line links as I can find, but without success. Is a minimum speed of 6000rpm hard coded into NCstudio? Or is there a "hidden" way to change this? Help with this would be very much appreciated because I want to use an edge finder that requires a spindle speed of 500rpm.

no, it is not in ncstudio
this card, the 4.5 the 5.4 or 5.6 using socalled multisegment method

check your vfd manual and you going to find a section where you set in 7 different segments 0-400 in case if your spindle 400 hz

the first segment if your spindle 400 hz, then the first segment set to 100

but from here it is up to you if you set lower

i can not guarantee if it were ok to set lower
i made couple of trial and down to 35 hz likely 1800 rpm it worked for me

but again i can not tell you do it..
i am only describing where it is set..

    what vfd you using?

    find first the manual online
go trough on manual and check you set possible and set it to factory default
    they can be safe

long time I had a machine with sunfar vfd
I experienced similar and this is what I did

never could fix really, tough it worked..
    that inverter made rpm ""wobbling""
asked help from factory but still didn't worked over 260 hZ

    regards
    viktor
