Default 6040 4 axis Chinese CNC - Installing Limit Switches help

    Greetings everyone and Happy Holidays!!

So I bough this and I got it to work with the parallel port pc etc. I can control it with mach3 ...didnt figure out the spindle control yet so Im using manual but for now I have to install limit switches. I'm attaching a pic of the board inside the controller.

Can anyone confirm that the MI1,MI2,MI3, M01 and MI4 Empty green pins is where the XYZ limit switches would go.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank You!!

I just purchased that exact 6040 cnc engraver and have the same question. I belive the card you took a picture of controls the spindle. The other location could be the parallel port card mounted on the back panel. I machined a few mounts for my limit switches but have not gotten to the wiring.

I looks like the parallel board is the hook up. This is what I got from the supplier today. It seems they have it set up as a negative ground system vs. 5v signal. I will give it a try tonight. And let you know.

I was going through the posts and saw that you added limit switches to your controller, just wondering if you could answer a couple of questions as to how you wired them, first are they configured for Normally Open or Normally Closed and is it just wired into the bridge and then to the common connector for the switch

The breakout board I have requires the switches be wired normally open. I will post a sketch of my wiring diagram. I know this is not optimal but it is working. I set up Mach3 to home +z -y and -x and works well.

Does anyone know what female connector type goes with the 5 pin connector on the board?
