In November 2015 I ordered a 6090 3 axis mill from BCAMCNC. 3rd of january 2016 the machine was delivered, after a delay because they said the truck had an accident while moving the machine to the sea port. They said I will get a new machine but what I unpacked was definitely a machine that had an accident. Until now (end of march 2016) their only offered solution was to sell me a second machine at a small discount which I have to pay in advance.
Is there anyone having similar problems with them?
I will post here the defects of the machine day by day since its 40+ defects.
First of all lets have a look on the exhaust system:
BCAMCNCs first answer was, that this is the fault of my shipper but the outer box was completely fine. So in my opinion this is just wrong packaging from BCAM.
This is below the table. It seems like there was a small gap and the solution of BCAM was not to fix the table alignment, but to stuff something into the gap making it even bigger. Now the table is 1cm higher at this point than at any other point of the table. It is nearly impossible to get this out because they glued this in.
So I think this was enough for one day. To be continued tomorrow.
I hope someone from BCAMCNC will reply to this. I know they are active in this forum so this is their chance to make it right.
So lets continue this.
Here you can see the rails of the machine, they are covered in metal chips and it is very likely that metal chips are already inside the bearings:
This is the electronics compartment covered in metal chips, I think some of these chips already went in the controller through its venting holes:
Here it seems like they had not enough paint left:
Fun Fact: The emergency stop does not cut off the power of the machine. It only stops the movement of the motors.
More pictures of this paint job:
Here they had not the right paint on hand and had to use three different green (Please remember they claim to offer high quality and I bought a brand new machine from them):
They also did not deliver any machine or controller manual, No filter bag for the exhaust system and the compressor for the coolant spray was also not delivered.
This is a bearing below the table. You can see how much metal chips are building up at the bearings. It will take only a short time until this bearing dies:
Another big problem is that I asked many times before purchase if this machine fits through a 90cm door and always their support said that it will fit.
When the machine was delivered it was 110cm wide! So it is not going through the door and I since have to pay warehouse fees to have it stored until I get a solution from BCAMCNC.
One offered solution was that I should tilt the machine by 90 degrees and try to get it in this way. The machine has nearly 600kg!! So I think they just made a joke.
They say that they have a ISO9001 certification but I wonder how such a machine can be delivered with a quality assurance system like ISO9001
That's terrible - Thanks for the pictures, they'll never get any business from this board...
In this situation, lying about a 9001 cert would be better than actual compliance. 9001 is not so much about controlling quality, as it is ensuring consistency through documentation and process control. Scary if this is an example of SOP.
