CNC 4030 Machine for Metal engrave made in China, i have question

it gets up to around 60 - 80 degrees it also depends what the temp is as well and its just a cheap arse made in china spindle I cant expect to be a top rate thing as the rest of the machine was bad, the spindle is the only original part left on the machine.

but my suggestion for the op to get a mill is still a good idea as if it is a junk machine he gets he may not be in a position to get it fixed he could get a tormach, or what ever within his budget as he will be machining from day one with a machine that if it turns up broken it will get fix or replaced by the dealer for what ever machine he gets.
yes he could go the same way with a router as well.

I don't have a cnc mill only a couple of cnc routers big and small what I have done engraving on.
it does not worry me if you get that machine as long as you are aware that it may be or may be not be a bad machine and will need fixed.

if you have the money up your sleeve to fix it if it is bad go for it I will never recommend getting a cnc what ever from china unless I get a good one I was burnt with the last machine I got, other people got a good one from same place.

with getting a cnc mill from where ever you can still do the same stuff as you do now but you also can do more like make your own moulds out of steel or what ever.

I understand that your recommendation, if possible can you tell me that company you bought your machine made ​​in china.

If something is wrong with Chinese machines it's wiring and/or electronics, both are easy to replace and won't cost a fortune. A second hand Tormach is a gamble also. The machine the OP showed in his first post will @ 2100 kg fit the bill for his steel engraving work, only problem may be the electronics although I doubt that at this price point. The times only rubbish was made in China are behind us, even your possible iphone was made there (OK, Apple is overpriced rubbish haha).

they said they tested it what was a lie.

as soon as the machine was connected up the electronics blew up plus one power supply, the vfd last 2 weeks, had to fix 40 plus bolt holes, bolts to short and just drilled in. all the wiring was not shielded.

had to replace the Z axis ball screw plus mounts and bearings.

all the steeper motors where the wrong size what was not there fault miss labled steppers.

the machine frame is bent. was able to over come that

can remember name of company don't exist any more but was in the same place as most of the other company's

it still cost less to buy and fix than getting one that had been gone over, what was a pain to do but I have machinery to fix all the problems

the machine looks the same as most machines the same size.

klaas123 he could get a new tormach or whatever within his budget. will you back up your words if something is wrong with the machine other than electronics / electrical will you pay to have it fixed

saying to someone what to get when you don`t know what they are capable or what they have access to is wrong, point to suggest if you can`t back something up to the hilt don't say it.
yes you must of got a good machine not everyone does.

I have not told him what to get I have suggested may be this or that, its up to him.

if I was engraving steel I would use a mill what I could use flood coolant on that's my decision I my be wrong.

if I could I would get a vmc or a datron but thats big money.

correct I am just saying be careful what you say as if you have giving someone bad advise you will be called out on it that's why suggest, point where to look say what you will do.

if I am wrong in advise given someone will say something.

the risk of the op getting a bad machine is high but if he gets a non buy direct from china machine from a good dealer he will more than likely get it fix by the dealer what wont cost him if its not his fault.

the next machine I am get is going to be from china but with no electronics just motors and spindle but that's not a problem for me as I can do it my self learnt the hard way

So far as Australia goes, the Chinese machines are the only possible option for hobbyists, unless they have extremely deep pockets. I've bought several, and have been extremely pleased not only with the build quality, but also the unbeatable price. As with most of the cheap range machines though, the electronics are garbage, so I always advise anyone considering buying one to factor in a G540. Even with that expense, there's still nothing that comes close to the value.

that's the same over I have seen the same machines as mine on trademe for 40 grand, the machine I have cost 25 with replacing a lot of parts
