power conditioners?

Hello everyone again. I've had my 3040 running pretty well this summer, its been hot! Which begs my question. It seems like when my central air conditioner kicks on, my CNC looses steps. Would the draw from the AC unit cause this issue? I definitely noticed this happen when I plugged into the same circuit as the dust collector.

Any thoughts about this, could the 50 amp draw from the AC make the CNC loose steps.
