Exclamation Charter Oak IH6000 - runaway table

While doing some routing milling, suddenly my table went at full speed in the negative x axis until it hit the external stop. Turned it off, waited, rebooted, same thing. Driving it with Mach Three software, factory installed. When I launch software and reset, the second I try to move table in positive x, it kicks in to negative x movement, then shuts down immediately, because it is already at the stop. Need help isolating the problem. Software? Cabling? Controller?

If servo machine. The first thing I would check is the encoder and or cabling for the x motor.

You might want to disconnect the motor from the axis while you troubleshoot the issue. As vertcnc said if this is a servo system a bad encoder could send it seeking.
