novice spin caster builder

Hi guys
first time on your website from cape town south africa .busy building a spin caster for lead products .so need to start at the basics - recommended RPM/pressures etc any diagrams etc if any one can point me in the right direction would be most appreciated.was told to use a 3ph motor with a inverter but running it off 1ph and ramp it up and down does this make sense??will want to run it 1 ph .
