I would like to cast some very small parts in Pewter. Maybe two to four oz.'s Is there a low temp material. Any material recommendations for what to make the molds from?. This is for a home hobbyist type of thing. I don't need to go industrial. What say ye. |

| I've read of some high temperature silicone that should work. As I recall, the silicone can withstand temperatures of up to 600 degrees F. I believe that pewter is in the 500 degree range. Plaster of Paris would probably work, but doesn't hold up as well. The silicone would definitely be worth looking into. Might even hold up to repeated casting.
