Am I making the pipe weak?

I recently bought some Sch.80 x 3/4" pipe from the same supplier I've used for years. When I cut it up and went to bend it with the hand conduit bender I have always used it didn't move at all. I guess they changed the hardness of what they the sell. I put the end of the pipe in a furnace and heated it to cherry red, then bent it with my hand bender. My question is am I making it weaker by doing this? I let it cool without any help from water or oil. I use the pipe as a handle on an extruder that I make and it needs to be tough enough not to bend.

You say this batch of pipe was stronger than previous batches. About the only change you will make by heating it for bending is anneal down to the same strength as the other pipes, and there may be no change.

Pipe is low carbon steel not hardened or anything so heating and cooling does not have much effect.

If you were using solid drawn alloy tube you might see quite a difference because the drawing process work hardens it and the heating anneals the work hardening.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
