    sand cores

I am looking for a place to find information on and purchase coatings for sand cores to help make them harder and a bit easier to handle. Right now all i have is a CO2 binder but i need to handle the cores a bit and hand rub the edges to put a slight radius on them. Years ago we had something we brushed on the cores that made them alot harder but like all things i threw out the empty container without writing down the name.

    Core wash

    Kirby,

Find a local foundry supply company and walk in with
some examples of your work. A box of donuts helps.
Tell them what you want to do and most likely you
will walk out an hour later with a bunch of goodies and
some new friends. If there are no local supply houses,
then one of the casting forums on Yahoo with members in Canada
will be glad to help with Canadian foundry supply houses
    that will ship.

    regards,

    Jim
