Hi all!

I am planning to make a small aluminium foundry.

The plan is to use waste oil, this drips into a stream of air, this mix wil be blown into an open flame and this flame shall end 100mm further in my cylinder.

This cylinder is what this is question is all about.

Outer cylinder is Ø250mm and approx 400mm high. In there I want to cast fireproof concrete.
The inner cylinder is on every article I read temporary for casting, after casting the inner cylinder is just the concrete.

I thought, 2 layers of steel with concrete in between is better!

Am I right?

The reason why i want to do this is to prevent the concrete from crumbling apart.
