| This great little utility unfortunately doesn't work properly on my machine. I type the text and it creates the tool path but when l save it as a DXF file and try and open it in Autocad or Auto sketch it returns an Error and wont open. Anybody had the same problem or know any hints on how to overcome this problem. Cheers Fran |

| How are you saving it? I just save a file from it on my desktop and the opened my cad program (turbocad) went file open and looked on my desktop for the file, clicked on it and there it was in my cad program. Make sure you save the file in Desk engrave to a DXF file. then make sure you are trying to open a DXF file in your cad program. It should work...

| Woodknack l am trying to open it in Autocad 14 and Autosketch 5 and it wont. You said you are using turbocad. Maybe its reading the file differently. I think l have Turbocad 5 knocking around somewhere on a magazine cover disc. How do you find it to use? Balsaman what version of Autocad are you using ? I was thinking of contacting Deskam support but it's a little checky when the program/utility is Free.;-) Cheers Fran |

| I just bought it awhile ago and havent really played around with it. Cad is not my strong point! hahaha. But something Im going to have to work on for sure! I have autocad 2000 but it is to hard for me to learn. I think turbocad is the ticket for me.. there other free ones out on the net that sure work just fine. I think I downloaded intellicad and it looks real good to me..

| Woodknack.
Theirs a program called Creadat that l want to use for creating " DAT" files for my foam cutting machine. It connects with Autocad for importing drawings. I think that it will read DXF files so l might still try Turbocad. I will also try opening one of Deskengravers DXF files to. Cheers Fran |
