I have a quick question. Can stepper motors be wired directly to the deskcnc board or do i need to also have a driver board like the Xylotex.

You will need a driver board as the deskcnc board only outputs step and direction for a stepper driver and will not drive the motors directly

Thanks, Desk CNC's documentation was confusing.
