I downloaded the demo of Deskcnc today to see how it works. In the setup for the Machine port it only gives me an option of Com1 and Com3. I have the Xylotex 3 axis controller with Nemo23 motors. Is this only for serial output or can it use the parallel port? Can I use it with this controller? Or to use this software do you need their controller board they sell also? If so, how can you demo to see it working first? Thanks! Warren Last edited by WarrenW; 11-18-2005 at 10:14 PM. |

| DeskCnc is a software and controller package. You use their controller hooked up through the serial port or usb. It would hook up to your Xylotex driver board. I've got a couple of them and have been happy. Bert |

As long as the software meets your expectations, you shouldn't have any problems with the motors, because the steps are generated by the external controller. With a Xylotex you will have to make a custom cable to connect it to the DeskCNC board.
