Hello all

I'm new here and feeling overwhelmed by the size of this site.
I'm also intimidated by the volume of unknowns there are here for me.
I'm looking for information on engravers in general and the New Hermes 3400 in particular. I have one of the latter and the 'EP' module has come close to driving me insane for the last year. Thare are constant reminder that ' an lpt board is running at less than capacity and should be replaced' along with several other bisruptive unexplained stops and extensive pauses. Has anyone ere experienced any of this? and if so do you have a fix? short of a half stick of tnt!!
I did read somewhere in this site of a person who had eliminated the EP and was using mach3 or something similar. ( another unknown ) I assume its a plotter controller of some definition.
any help or posative advice will be received and acknowledged with gratitude.
