Does anyone know of a supplier for timing belts and gears in Ontario. I am trying to work out the drive system for my machine, the steppers i have may be a little light so I was figuring to gear them up about 4-5 / 1. |

| motiontek is quite expensive, although it does look high quality. Not in canada, but just throwing them out there: www.smallparts.com has many items, pulleys are various plastic types https://sdp-si.com/eStore/ has tons, including metal or hubbard cnc on ebay has some well priced XL belts + metal pulleys The first two ship UPS (which can be scary for fees). I had good luck with smallparts for a $25 order, but haven't tried sdp. USPS would be slower but at most you pay taxes + $5. |

| Hi, for your pulleys and belts you can order by phone at sdp-si.com and they will send your order using USPS and it will cost you an additionnal 10.00 but at least you know the ending price and this is not so if you use UPS from what I can read you are looking for a 4.5:1 ratio, while going at spd-si web site take a look at their center distance designer http://www.sdp-si.com/Cd/default.htmto make sure that you have the proper number of teeth in tha swall pulley |

| Check with Toronto Gear, http://www.torontogear.com/ , they deal through distributors, probably most power tramsmission companies like Toronto Bearing, Canadian Bearing, etc. I've had reasonable success with their products and they can supply a fairly wide range of belts and pulleys. Custom parts are pricey but stock stuff is priced OK |
