I don't remember saying hi when I first joined a few months ago. Since then I have started my own design based loosely on the Fine Line Automation design using 80/20. Here are some details. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81174 |

| The key to any type of CNC equipment is to make it rigid. Find a local fab shop (or someone who can weld), take them both the material and a decent drawing of your design (to save money), and have them weld up a frame for you from HSS: it will most likely be cheaper, and definetly heavier, easier to modify, and much more rigid then 80/20 ... and you will not regret it. In my opinion. Frank |
