Thumbs down new to cnc zone

    Hello all
My name is Brian and I live in Austin Quebec
I'm having trouble remembering how to zero out a milling machine. I took a machinist course 16 years ago but have since forgotten alot. Since the shop I work in is moving to Mexico in 2 months I have another job offer to program and run Milling and Lathes for a guy. Trouble is I can't remember for the life of me how to tell the machine where my part is and where to start machining. Both milling and lathe are Fanuc controlled. ANY HELP would be of great apreciation

For part programming the part zero, I would suggest you get hold of some CNC programming books and learn the method used to set your part zero through the G54-G59 work coordinate system.
These transfer your part program from Machine zero reference to part 0 reference.
G53 reverts to machine coordinate system.
If you can still get a copy of Computer Numerical Control Programming by M.Save and J. Puszai, this will help immensely.

    Maybe this will help?

I cleaned out my toolbox, last Fri.

I found a few old g-code cheat sheets.
