Most Electrical suppliers carry at least one make of VFD.
ElectroMate carry motion control products.
Electrosonic have power supplies and electronic components.

I hate the hassle of buying stuff in the US only to anxiously wait to see what kind of raping I'm going to get with the shipping, taxes, brokerage etc. Would anyone know of a supplier where I can purchase items like VFDs, servo drivers, power supplies etc, in Canada?
Thanks for any replies. Dan

I'm located in Newcastle Ontario. About 1 hour east of Toronto. I don't mind mail ordering, as long as it's in Canada. Thanks
I feel the same way, try buying multi start acme here, no were. Graham
Here's another place: MotionTek (motiontek.ca)
They are in Toronto.

Thanks Paul, I tried Canadian bearings and fastenall, they did,nt even know what I was talking about, I did get a quote from one place, $1000,00 for 18 ft, no thanks. have not tried brasfasco but I got some from Roton. I just do not understand why it can not be made here. Graham
Most don't know what Multi start is. Brafasco ordered the rod I wanted from McMaster-Carr. If you really want multi start and have a part # from McMaster give it to Brafasco and get a quote. I did however pay $$$. So don't expect a deal. LOL
try also gbs (genereal bearing service) this is where i got my ballscrew

You might want to consider calling Electrozad Electric Supply in Windsor, ON.
I believe they may be able to help you out.
Do try hard to find in Canada - brokerage fees alone will kill you.
Sometimes you won't find out about the brokerage fees for a month or two after you have received the item if shipped by FedEx or UPS. I have found out the hard way.
