CNC Gerber Sabre Router table 408 I have been running the same router for 7 years and am now starting to get some problems. When I route letters it seems as if they are not joining up at the end of the cut for example a letter O will have a bump at the start finish point. This never use to happen and I have tried many diffrent things to fix this. Dose anyone know why this might be and how I can fix it myself ? any help would be great!! thanks

Your lead screws are worn. I have replaced mine several times. I have a brand new Y axis screw for sale if you need one. I don't have my Sabre anymore. Jason

Hey guys. It's not necessarily a problem with the lead screws (I've run one for 10 years now without any problems). It could also be a malfunctioning encoder. I would check into this as well.

This is the lead screw without a doubt replaced mine as well after encoder etc. and only then was everything running smooth. If you only cut to the front of the machine this is the cause of the wearing. Try cutting a test to the back of the machine and see what happens.

What is involved in changing the y axis screw? Is this something that a normal person could handle? About how long does it take? Thank you, Jim
