Need advice on marketing used machinery

    Hi-
I own a machine shop in suburban Chicago that is currently listed for-sale with a business broker. We have 3 older Mazak CNC's, and a much older Cincinnati CNC along with the usual assortment of ancient Bridgeports, turret lathes, etc.

Most likely whoever buys the biz will not want all this older (but in good repair) machinery. Not sure where to market these still viable machines.

Ebay is loaded with so much junk. Local classifieds reach a limited audience.
Is there a really popular venue for selling equipment that will be better than calling the scrap man?
Thanks for your time and your ideas! Jim

You might want to see if any schools might want something like that in exchange for a suitable tax receipt.
Been there, done that, got the tee shirt...

I imported a CNC lathe to Canada that I found on this site, its world wide and a lot of machinery dealers seem to use it.

    Give it a try.
