need some one to cut my machine

Looking for someone local with a cnc router or laser cutter to cut out a diylilcnc for me
I am in the Fraser valley
But any where in Canada would be good
I have called a few shops locally they want 700 or more
To cut this they have told me it would be approx 300 minutes of machine time
    I have the drawings

But they are free on diylilcnc.org

hey broncosis, I,m going to try and cut out the first page, but the only thing is exporting the svg file(ink scape) into a dfx file the size seems to change, do you know what the size of the pages are in inches ,. when changed it says the page is over 300" and I doubt that's the right size. If you know that would help. Graham

Why aren't you using the .dxf files they have on their site?

the dxf files are for a laser cutter
and a router needs a little more room

I have also noted some issuses
I will take one to work and see if I can get it printed on our large format printer

Ok what I did was brought the laser cut dfx into my cad program then added a new layer then brought in the router cut dfx and scaled that to the laser cut. as long as the laser cut is the right size it should be cool. Graham

Hey Broncosis, think you can find any dimensions for the drawing so to make sure we get it right.in inches preferably. The router cut files are in metric and a way off scale, it shows 9 meters for the first page, Graham

HI, I cut out the y motor mount outer panel to see how it came out. the motor mount hole you are talking about should be 1.5 " which is the size the I cut out. every thing looks good, 1/4 " hole came out a 1/4". the whole part is 1.5"x3.87". so when ever your ready let me know and we'll get it done. Graham
