Helical Rack 'n' Pinion pricing...

Hi guys,

As the title states, I'm in the hunt for pricing on helical rack and pinion parts. So far anything I've found online simply states that they are not all that more costly then a standard spur gear set-up. Which really isn't much help when trying gauge budget. So if anyone has a line on a supplier (southern/central Ontario), or maybe even just some first hand knowledge of using a helical RnP drive train. I'd greatly appreciate the helping hand.

Well... if anyone cares, I have a request for a quote on some helical RnP parts. I'll give'r another bump when I have the numbers in front of me.

Well at this point it's a hurry up and wait game...

I went through the purchaser here at the plant where I work, so the request shouldn't be ignored as we're an active account.

Well I have one quote in hand...

Rexroth (Bosch Group) provided me with a quote for 4x 1200mm helical racks that are machined to allow the mounting of linear guides, for a total of ~$2300.

Considering that quote was requested by my company, I'd have to assume taxes are not included in that price.

If anyone wants more detailed info, please feel free to ask.

I have started up dialogue with another company about the same kind of product. So I'll update this thread if/when they provide me a quote.
