Hi all... this one should be interesting, particularly for the more experienced of the crew. I read on a recommended post to try and find some Old tools etc.. so I began looking on ebay, and I found several "micrometers"... they were delivered today...these are very old, all appear to be working fine but for the most part I have no real idea what they are, their use or how to use them. Any help is appreciated. if i never use them, they will look great in a box with glass frame on the wall...lol.... the names I can read are... • " GEM Manufacturing Co". Clevland Ohio, Model 400 ( this is the one with the small yellowish dial... TESTMASTER jeweled providense rhode island .0001" • "BROWN & SHARP" Universal Surface gauge-620B 4" • "'THE LS STARRETT Co. Athol Mass. USA, No.454 ( this is the tall one ) • "The Lufkin Rule Co. Saginaw Mich. No.199A ( In Long leather case ) • " Craftsman USA.. the three T shaped items • " Dorsey Guage Co. Hyde Prk NY. this is the bulky unit..it has numbers on the back on a steel plate 767-7385 .542 - .546 2.56 Piston There's no Rust on any of them, even the cases were well cared for, and all they all slide & work great... accurate or not i have no idea... but I think it was a pretty good find... certainly all antiques.... any help is greatly appreciated. thanks Paul Newfoundland. Hmm... how do I attach photos? |

| Those are all nice tools. One or two that I don't recognize the brand, but the rest are all quality tools. (Not saying they're bad, just that I don't recognize the brand) Don't worry, sooner or later you'll need each of these tools, and you'll quickly either figure out how to use it, or ask for help.
