Future owner of a diy cnc (hopefully!)

    Hello everyone,

I've been lurking around these boards for about two months and I've finally started to collect material for my cnc machine. I'm having a pretty easy time finding new parts such as motors and linear rails, but I was hoping to find more used items as I would like to save money wherever I can.

Does anyone know a good scrapyard in the gta or a good store? I called a few scrapyards in the markham area but they don't have anything much but auto parts. I've looked at some surplus stores such as active surplus, and a1 parts.

    Vinh

    Hi,
I am just south of Barrie. I have my machine almost done,

    4X8 Router. Getting somewhere.

There are no machinery scrap yards around that I know of. I got most of my stuff from E-bay or new. There are some surplus places online but you are just as well to go through ebay. Just expect that what you buy is half as good as what it says, bid with that in mind.....

    Good luck with the build.
