Hi. My name is John. I'm studing mechanics at college (Quebec). This session, i have a CNC cours. I don't know almost nothing about CNC, but i can make the program. However, i would like to know how to start the machine to introduce the program. What is the procedure to startup? Thank you. JOHN MACHINE: MITSUI SEIKI VR 3A with a FANUC 6M control.  |

| Hi John, I think that you are trying to jump the gun. The MITSUI SEIKI VR 3A with a FANUC 6M control, is a nice machine, but if you don't start up proper you can get in trouble very quickly. I am sure that the instructors at the College will provide you with the proper instructions. I can recomend a few books you should pick up; #1 Machinery's Handbook (You don't need the latest version). #2 CNC Programming Handbook by Peter Smid. #3 Machining & CNC Technology by Michael Fitzpatrick (this one you should borrow from the Library).
