    I am Canadian Eh!
Well we have a clubhouse what a we gonna talk about. We have members stretching across this nation.Perhaps Dersap has the right idea, give some Canadian sources.
    Signing in like"Hi
i am bob&Doug Mckenzie from The Great White North"is not good enough. If we state our experteze such as Hi,I am larry from TO and I only know of epoxy and composites.Or Hi I am kevin from Vancouver and am an expert at CAD&Cam,we could pick our collective brains and help each other.Canadians need a boot in the a^% to get motivated.Brack,I'll open another Canadian{Molson] and watch the Game.

    Larry,
I agree with you but also noticed you never gave any info either.
I am from a small town and I have been an RC modeller since 68 and I have several hobbies which all come together to make things easier. I have a mill/drill and an Atlas lathe and tinker in electronics. My first jump into CNC was my foamcutter and my next is the mill/drill. This is mainly so I don't have to turn the wheels as I wrecked my sholder 5 years ago. My current projects are a KJ66 turbine and making a dynamic balancer for it. Then it will be onto the mill/drill.
A couple of pics of what I am into.

    John,your right.I didn't say to much.
You post reminded me of modeling from the 60's.Ever had a Dyna jet?Mccoy red head?Cox?
Super Tiger and used nitro,Misselmist? So much for a blast from the past.
I do woodworking mainly loudspeaker cabinets and know a bit of composites. My main posts are in the Epoxy Granite Machine Bases.I would assume now a days composites are common in R/C modeling? Can I be of any assistance?

    Default What is That?

    Larry,

It looks good... what is it? Is it made from a composite material and how do it's spec's compare to say gray cast iron and run of the mill aluminums - in laymans terms.

I ask because I'm thinking about building a smallish lathe/mill combo (Yikes, one of those!) That is to say, one with reduced swing so that I don't have to deal with the PITA of redoing setups.

Langley, B.C. - Trying to get my own small router machine built, but currently distracted by my job building a VERY LARGE commercial 3 axis machine. I have all my machining done and lots parts and pieces waiting for my brain to clear. Will purchase my motors etc. soon in the New Year. I think developing a Canadian community is a great idea, no matter what you call it!

What I would really like to see is a list of Canadian suppliers so we can cut through the import problems!
