Check out the Vectrc software. you can download a trial version and see if it will do what you want. It will open DXF from emails also. They have a very good forum and support is top notch
I m new to this cnc machine hobby ...running mach3 on it but don t know what cad software to use for routering and engraving... want something good but don t want to pay to much for it...also need to open dxf files by email don t have any idea what software is best use...not the greatest on the co
mp. so need something simple to operate..

I agree with fixtureman1, been using V-Carve pro since 2009 and love it. Great line of software for the beginner and advanced user alike! Vectric has a very intuitive user interface and support to boot. At $600 for V-Carve Pro you won't find any better software out there that is as easy to use and you have the option to upgrade to Aspire when you're ready to tackle 3D modelling.
If you aren't doing 3d - try cambam
If all you need is 2d then cut 2d for $150 is the way to go and when you need more you can upgrade to V carve pro for $450 so they allow all the money you paid for cut 2d
I agree with vcarve pro or any vectric product. I've used it exclusively for 7-8 years. Our other shop uses mastercam also ($$$) but now does a lot on vcarve too because it is so simple and fast to pump out the programs.
