In the camsoft diaignostic screen it only shows I/O 1-31. Is this the I/O from the opto 22 card or a mix of I/O from the Galil and opto 22? Is there a way to see the rest of the I/O? What voltage are the inputs on the ICM 2900? On the opto 22 card can I use any terminals for Input and output or are 16 for in and 16 for out, if so which are which? Thanks Jeremy |

| The input voltage can be set by LSCOM and INCOM jumpers as to whether the internal 5v is used or up to 24vdc external is used, these are opto isolated inputs. If a external supply is used, they can be set for sink or source by connecting the LSCOM/INCOM to either + or common. What card are you using for the Opto 22? Al.

The first bank on a G4PB32DEC board is for inputs, the second for outputs. Like Al said, the inputs on the 2900 can be up to 24 volt IF you removed the PC jumper. Karl |

| There is no visual on the ICM2900 for I/O status if you wire direct, you could either use a terminal in - terminal out Opto board or put together a custom LED board. The Galil command is TS tell switches or TI tell inputs, but that is not in Camsoft. Al.

| Don't forget to document the function of each IO in setup. It really helps later. IO is easily seen just by clicking on the diagnostics icon. P.S. Another fella asked what I do. So I attached a clue <VBG> Karl |

| unfourtenly this doc confused me further. I think its trying to tell me what IO number camsoft assigns each IO on the opto 22 relay rack but I am lost. Can you explain what this means? And Nice Catch!! 32 Common Output 1 33 31 Input 16 Common 34 30 Common Output 2 35 29 Input 15 Common 36 28 Common |

| That Opto module you have is actually designed for DEC computer interface, I am not sure if the header is compatible with the I/O card you have? But the wiring hook ups are on the Opto side as to terminal numbers referred to. http://www.opto22.com/documents/0363...data_sheet.pdf Al.

| CNCzone wouldn't let me upload the document in the original .rtf format. So I converted to .txt. The file should be called 32IOcards.rtf or something similar in your help directory. Al, calling these boards out as for a DEC computer use makes them really cheap on eBay. I never bid over $10 each and now have a dozen. So, I quit buying. They work great with Contec PIO 16/16T IO cards with either a PCI or ISA slot. Ordered direct form Contec, this is probably the least expensive IO card around. Karl |
