Can I use Suqiang SN2000 servo drive with Camsoft Software?

Hello everybody,
I have Suqiang SN2000 Digital AC Servo drive. I want to use these drive with CamSoft PC Based CNC Software. I have no experience about with servo drive.
with my regard,

Buy me a Beer?

Check the manual to see if the drive accepts ±10vdc analogue drive signal.
Also check if the drives pass on the encoder signal.
Al.

suqiang SN2000 Servo problem with Camsoft

Dear Al_The_Man,

I have checked the SN2000 servo drive. I see two types of standard connection, one is position control mode and another is speed control mode. In position mode, there are podition dictate PLUS & SIGN input signal and CCW drive forbid & CW drive forbid. In speed mode, there are Analoge dectate input & Analoge input ground. Which type should I select for CNC control?
Thanks you for your helping

The Galil card uses ±10vdc analogue drive signal, so if the drive takes this, as it appears it does, use this input.
You could maybe set the card for stepper operation and use the step dir signals but the loop would be closed back to the drive only, it would not be my preference.

Although my existing servo drive has PULSE and SIGN input signal, it is servo drive and servo motor. It hard to interface for me. Can I use this servo drive as a stepper drive? Could display show realtime movement without encoder feedback to Galil motion control card?
Thanks you for your reply

As Al said, a stepper type setup would be a very poor second choice. You will loose Galil feedback.

Red face Should we select position mode or speed mode for numerical control?

Dear sir,

Does Analog signal (+/-10 VDC) represent as speed command for servo drive? My existing Suqiang SN2000 servo drive has these two mode. Although it's servo drive has analog input and analog ground, I have never seen Analog signal (+/-10 VDC) in that servo drive manual. For position mode, it includes PULS & SIGN input signal and it has analog input & ground for speed mode. What type should we select position mode or speed mode for numerial control?

Thank you for your reply

Without looking the manual over it is a bit difficult to give a definitive answer, It is very unusual for a servo drive to have uni-potential analogue, i.e. 0-10v, this is often seen on spindle drives where the direction is reverse by a separate input signal.
I would say out of the two it would be position mode rather than velocity.
