AS3000 3D Level 5 CAD/CAM Software

Hello, I am new to cnc machining and I am looking at purchasing AS3000 3D Level 5 CAD/CAM Software by CamSoft. Has anybody used it? I need a software package that will let me do cad drawings from scratch, and of course do cam and dnc. Can any of you help me? Thank you

I just answered Pietbez in the post below about seeing the AS3000 packages on E-Bay for much cheaper than what Camsoft sells them for. I only have used Level-1 and my customer has Level-10 which has the features of Level 5. I know there's better stuff out there but it's works well for him and has been good for me.

I just seen an email from camsoft that level 5 AS3000 is on sale for a fraction of the normal price. I'm not the expert but I think level 5 would offer good value, especially if you have a Camsoft machine control.

I'm lucky, my son has spent years working as a CNC programmer. He kocks out a mastercam program in minutes after I provide an Autocad drawing. He looked at level 1 and thought it was junk. But keep in mind, he's used to an $18,000 per seat package with unbelievable support.

I have level 5 of as3000 and I use it from time to time for turning difficult profiles - multiple radii and angles tangent to them and stuff like that. I have no idea how it works for milling but it does have a totally cusomizable post so you should be able to make it work for any machine. For the money it's worth it.
