One long standing problem which I have encountered with CNC professional ver 14.9 (IIRC) is this: run a program in single step mode, it works fine. Now, single step through the program and stop just before a G02 or G03: now press Auto and the control will halt with an error having to do with the "endpoint is incorrect for these arc centers" or something similar. Restart the nc program in continuous and it runs through fine, so there are actually no errors in the program. The error appears to be some kind of "I forgot where I was" sort of problem with the feed to the buffers. Was this problem ever resolved in the newer versions?

| It's hard going back to old versions, so this is the best explanation we have for the error message. The full message "Start point of arc does not have the same radius as end point" does have a more common un-related reason for popping up due to miss-set post processing setting for arc center designations. However this was not the case here. It should not pop because Auto Cycle was pressed after a Single Step move was done at the beginning of an arc. Under normal circumstances the message does not pop up on the current version and there are no notes in the database that it has happened to old versions, but there are exceptions that can be unique to the situation that would pop up this error message in the same situation whereas the location at which the machine stopped after a single step either stopped outside tolerance or else drifts out so the math from the arc center to the arc end point would not match the distance to the current location of where the was machine stopped at the start point to arc center. | Hu, I just tried to repeat your issue on my control. Loaded a program with both g1 and g2 moves. I couldn't make any combination of single step and cycle start cause an error. So, the issue is not present on my mill with current software. |
