I'm doing a retrofit on the Bandit. The Quickdraw changer has 11 inputs to control toolchange, spindle speed and tool selection. It has at least 1 input. These connections will go thru a 16 in 16 out relay card to get to the computer and Camsoft's software. Has anyone done this interface before? I have looked at Camsoft's example .cbk file and it seems rather complex. I am fairly sure I'll get the machine running but would like the toolchanger to work as well. Best'o'luck nelZ

| I've used the Contec card attached to opto 22 boards on a couple machines. So far, I've done three different tool changers. The most important step is to understand EXACTLY how your tool changer should work. If you get lucky, there will be a toolchanger routine in a default .CBK similar to yours and it won't take long. OTOH, if you have a tool changer like on my CHNC that you have never seen run, you're not quite sure how it works, and some parts are broken; it can be a stone b&*( to get running. Karl |
