    CamSoft Bridgeport Boss 4 retrofit

I am considering using CamSoft lite to retrofit my Bridgeport Boss 4. Has anyone on the zone done this before? I get the impression that they have good support for the software, but I am wondering about actually hard wiring in the Galil card. Would I be on my own figuring out which wire goes where or ?

The Galil card has a large break out module for the 100 pin edge connector that is fairly well labeled and documented.
Look on the Galil motion site in the Tech section for ICM-2900 for e.g.

Camsoft also has a great installation manual.

I've done a Boss control. I'd suggest you start by stripping the control cabinet out completely except that nice little terminal strip in the bottom of the cabinet. Put a wire number label on each wire that goes out of the cabinet - find out its exact purpose and make your self up a spreadsheet with wire numbers and purpose. There - you're halfway home.
