    how to convert Solidwork 3D draw to DXF file?

    Hi !
    i would very thankful if some one could tell me how to convert a solidworks file to either DXF or g-code

    MAke a drawing of your model (in 2D) then save it as a DXF (go to pull down window in the "save as" tool bar). Be sure that your drawing scale is 1:1 or you will have an a shrinken, or enlarged part.

    If you want g-code you will have to buy CAM software or write your code by hand.

    Ditto igor on the DXF thing.

    but the solidworks file i have now is a 3D model can i convert it to 2D or g-code?
