THC Issue

Hi All,

Could you guys tell me if softcam controllers and software compatible with any of the THC units in the market? I'm thinking of Campbell or Rutex, or do you recommend something else?

I just took a quick look at the torch height control on the rutex page.

I think you want to do this within Camsoft. You'll need to find, or design, a capacitance sensor like described on the Rutex site. Convert this signal to a 0 - 10 volt analog input. Camsoft can then control the torch height with opto 22 outputs.

Much cleaner way to go.

This sounds like a complex issue and I think that CamSoft should be consulted. If I remember correctly they already have macros setup to control a THC Unit. Give them a call and they should be able to help with the hardware.
