    Business questions

Camsoft. I got your demo CD. I'm impressed so far. I have known about Camsoft for a long time. I was wrong about I had thought about you. I have done some research and your product seems like it would do the job for me.

I have got some business questions. I want to build my own machines. I want someone to come out. Who do I speak with? One of your dealers or you?

I'd do it the other way around. Go see some machines a dealer has refit. Or go to Camsoft for their training class. You'd learn way more.

    machines2go,

    Thank you.

We can answer your general technical questions here. We can't answer the business questions. It would be best to call in and speak to someone. We need to know where you are to refer one of our dealers and a little about what your application is to help you better and be able to breif them. Some dealers are willing to travel and some are not. Some dealers have special areas of knowledge. We also need to see if any of our dealers already know of you. Our dealers are important to us and we try to protect their rights. We only assign one dealer per customer. We can also answer your techncial questions when you call.

You guys are quite on the ball, professional and very responsive. I'm just getting started with my new plans for a kickass machine. I will be glad to do business with you. I hope to prove to be a good partner.

What kind of work will you be able to do with your new machine? Metal, wood ,Plastic, or plasma cutting?

Thanks for asking. I'm still in the design stage. What I plan to do is a low cost , high quality versatile machine for resale. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag but a person can do several things with one machine that normally needs 2 or 3 machines. That's why I choose Camsoft. I can tell they know a whole lot me than me and they are willing to help me. I had earlier posted in some other forums and got no response. Camsoft answered the phone and right away I got to speak to someone. I have never spoke to anyone that knows more than them. When I get further I will post pictures and hope to sale several on CNC zone.

Ah, a mystery, you peaked my interest. Camsoft is a great control, but the one thing its not is cheap. Same thing with quality components. I'm curious, what price point are you aiming at to sell as low cost?

I hope I can get the machines price under $50k. I have been looking around and Camsoft is cheap compared to what I heard from Siemens or Fanuc and the like. Fagor was the lowest cost but CamSoft was still 1/2 their price and easier for me to learn how to customize. I will also be able to have my only logo and brand name which is important to me. I was first recommended to some of the other systems on CNC zone but these turned out to be entry level systems and the companies were not responsive to me. Camsoft even answered my questions on the week end and I feel good about their knowledge. Without saying too much I need both fast and smooth multiple axis motion. I also like that the operator can switch to different interfaces quickly. It is not the cheapest or the most expensive. It is the sweet spot I have been looking for. They have offered me OEM discounts that make it better.

For what you're doing, Camsoft should be just perfect.

I'm sure you're aware there's a pretty steep learning curve on your first machine. I'm a Camsoft hobbyist on steroids. I think I may have some of the most sophisticated Camsoft .CBKs running. I wouldn't want to be responsible for your success, but I'd love to help you along when the time comes. You WILL get confused. Don't let it bother you, just part of learning.
