Modal question

Hello all...been a while.

I don't use modal on my Camsoft plus but tried it today.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Here's the code

G83Z-1.F2.R.1Q.1
G0 Y1.
M80
M5

It just drills the hole where it is and does not drill one at Y1. Spindle stops.

Have I gone dumb???

Is there a Modal Enable toggle somewhere in Camsoft?

oh yes, I have Plus

This is an easy one. The G0 on the G0 Y1 line cancels the G81. To make it modal leave the G0 off.
