I am getting very close to applying power and tuning the servo amps to the motors. I am using a 4 axis DSP based Motion controller card-CS18420 (not sure what # it's listed by Galil) and my existing Sanyo motors on my Brother TC-221. The amps are from Automation Direct. Do I have to disconnect the couplers between the motor and the ball screw on each axis ( X,Y,Z) to perform the tuning? thanks in advance, Ben COBRO MFG. |

| Final tuning should be done with the ball screw connected. Initially testing is often advisable with the motors free just to ensure no run away etc. Al.
