no x y z movement

I am trying to help a friend with a Problem with his Camsoft setup

He bought the 14000 driver box and software....he sent pics in to tech support of his setup and they told him all looks setup correctly and his file is installed but no XYZ Movement and when he tries the Diagnostics he is getting a Home switch error..

I don't use Camsoft on my machines and I have not been to his shop yet ..
I know about CNC but not the hardware/electrical part of it

Just hope someone can steer us in the right direction for when I go there to try to help, is there a Possible setting wrong for his home switches...?

Probably something simple....oh yea he has yet to hook up the Spindle but this shouldn't interfere with movement.. or will it

Thanks in Advance guys

I didn't know this board, so i checked and its a stepper driver unit. So, I can't help you. I've worked with camsoft a lot, but only with servos and galil card. My guess is not many have used steppers with camsoft.

P.S. I just checked, there's a very nice manual on this card in my help directory called stepper board.rtf. looks to me like the home inputs aren't connected.

Karl

P.P.S. i just read it some. The home switches are NC so you could just jumper each of the four switches to ground for testing
