Hi all. Newbie, here. I'm finally plunging into the CNC world and will start with using CamBam as I've read good things about it and the price is right. I know that it was designed to work with Mach 3. My stepper motors will be driven by a Gecko 540. Is Mach3 still the best choice for a windows OS? |

| CamBam plus has a post processor system which can be user customised to produce g-code for a variety of CNC controllers. Mach3, TurboCNC, EMC and Fanuc post processors are included in the standard install.

| I use CamBam with EMC and they work quite well together. You can go to http://linuxcnc.org/ and download a "live CD" that you can boot your PC from and try out EMC without making any changes to your computer. Good luck, Mike P.S. I almost forgot, EMC and Linux are FREE!! :-) Last edited by mfl_jr; 02-04-2010 at 08:54 PM. Reason: Forgot detail |
