I must be doing something wrong, can't seem to export g-code to dxf?
Phil, Still too many interests, too many projects, and not enough time!!!!!!!!
Vist my websites - http://pminmo.com & http://millpcbs.com
There is no direct g-code to dxf at the moment, but what you can do is this...
Open some gcode in CamBam, then right click on the NC File machining operation in the drawing tree, then select 'Toolpath to Geometry'.
It is a good idea to create a new layer before doing this.
This should copy the gcode toolpaths to polyline drawing objects in the current layer. You can then export the drawing to dxf as usual.
Note: 'Toolpath to Geometry' does not currently work properly for all machine operations. For Pockets and profiles it just outputs one cut level of the toolpaths
You can then manipulate the toolpath using the transformation matrix, Apply Transformations and insert an engraving machine op based on the toolpath geometry. You may want to do this to say convert between inches and metric, cylinder wrap it...or in the following picture I just stretched the Z dimensions.
I hope this helps.
