Hi,
I finally learned to draw a 3D prt with Inventor and now I want to try cnc the outcome, first time.
My problem is that, I don't know how to fix my 3D part on xy plane, so that it goes down to negative side of z.
Please have a look on attachment, may be I'm not that clear by words (I'm not native speaker, sorry if unclear).
All my experience is with 2D design under CamBam so now I don't know how generate g-code from this 3D column, in a way that it is placed in the right orientation top-down under my 6040 CNC machine!
Please give ideas and if possible, point to tutorials.
I have just uploaded some revised documentation to the CamBam website which contains an updated tutorial on the 3D machining operations.
CamBam 0.9.8 documentation - 3D Profile
This is similar to the 3D tutorial currently available in the offline documentation (available from Help - Contents), but has has a revised section on moving and orienting the 3D objects.
This documentation will be part of the next CamBam release (0.9.8K) and will replace the main documentation when 'K' becomes the latest stable release.
