And here's a great video tutorial David on the CamBam forum produced-
CamBam Lathe - Short Tuto
Currently, only profiles are supported. It is a bit of a first draft and improvements are planned but people have successfully used it with Mach3 and EMC2.
If you search 'lathe' on the forum there are some more links, but here are a couple of posts...

I hope this is useful for you.

Thanks for the replies!
I appreciate the responses, I am in the process of converting a lathe and already use CB for my mill (only demo) I am looking for an all in one solution and since I have a little experience with CB I feel comfortable with it.

Good to know that Cambam is adding turn.
Les from Sheetcam is planning to do it as well.
Lazy turn does profiles too. Awhile back I searched for something to do turn with and wound up with Dolphin Turn. Once I got the correct post to run my tool setup in Mach 3, DT was easy. Hood on the Mach 3 forum was a giant help modifying my posts for me. He kept at it until it was absolutely perfect for my needs.
I suspect the majority of issues most will have will be getting a post honed like they need for their machine regardless of the turn software.
I use other cams like Sheetcam, Cut 3D, and Vcarve, so Dolphin was okay for me considering.
It would certainly have been nice to have everything I needed in one package though.
Good on Cambam for that.![]()

That's great news, I was starting to think about CNC turning and software was the sticking point.

Anybody have any first hand experience with the cambam turn plugin?
Is it sufficient for just starting out, is it being developed into something more complete as a cam solution for turning?
