    Extra moves

Nevermind, I was having a battle with step-over vs max crossover distance.

Still, can anyone explain the difference? I'll leave the part files attached if anyone wants a look. It's a block to hold a vernier on a 9x20 lathe.

Stepover the the distance apart between each parallel toolpath. It is expressed as a decimal of the tool diameter... so if your tool is 10mm and your stepover is 0.5, the toolpaths will be 5mm apart.

Max crossover has to do with whether CamBam decides to cut directly across from the end of one toolpath to the start of another. Again, this is expressed as a decimal of the tool diameter. If the next toolpath is within this distance, then a feed cut is used. Otherwise a rapid to the clearance plane, traverse, then a plunge is required.

Thanks for that explanation. I had stepover figured, but crossover I never would have guessed.
