Hello, Hopfully someone can help. I am using the free Cambam, wanted to try before buy. I have a file that has 5 different areas nested on the same board to cut. It is 5 Eagle heads that have the simple details engraved then the profile is to be cut out. There is engraving on each plus then a tool change and it should coutout the profile. My problem is when I generate G-code and open it in Mach3 I have the files I want but there is a HUGE amount of random circles that are created as code to cut. The circles are also large in diameter compared to the items I want code to cut. What am I doing wrong, any ideas? It doesn't do this on all files I put thru Cambam just some and it is usually the larger files with more steps. Any insight would be wounderful!! Thanks Ron |

| In Mach3's general config, change your IJ mode.

| Foamcutter. The IJ thing is most likely your problem, as pointed out by ger21 and is also configurable in CamBam under the Machining folder > G-Code Options > ArcCenterMode. Also, do remember that the free version of CamBam bears little relation to CamBam plus, which is much more powerful and refined as it is being actively developed. You also get 40 unlimited trials in the plus version, so there's plenty of opportunity to get the feel and even earn some dosh with it. You'll also get more help on the forum as this is what most people are now using. Martin. |

| Been there, done that and found the cure. Make sure cambam and mach3 (or whatever milling prog you use) are both set to incremental or absolute for arc centres. This is the IJ setting the guys above are talking about. Get it wrong and you get big looping arcs.
